Excellent service - served breakfast at 4.30 a.m for cyclists making an early start on Birkebeinerrittet.
Possibility to bake your own waffles at breakfast (however the dough was undigestable due to tons of cinnamon), great free 24-hour internet cards for guests
Worn hotel in overall, worn and old room, very noisy at night (students partying), could hardly get any sleep, poor breakfast (only whole grain bread, no croissants, fake Nutella), parking very small in the back of hotel, would never stay again
Our room was very large and spacious with lots of windows and a balcony. Breakfast was very good.
The room was outdated. It wasn't dirty, but things were old and worn. Two light bulbs were burned out.
Excellent breakfast good value for money
Had room in the older part of the hotel, so it was worn... But no problem, since we only were there to sleep, not live ;-)
Free parking! Close to city center and attractions in Lillehammer. Helpfull receptionist.
Breakfast had good quality, but not as good selection
The breakfast buffet was nice and offered during a decent window of time.
The room was very poorly maintained--the wallpaper was stained, the 'couch' was used as an ad hoc covering for the radiator, and the furniture had missing drawers. The room was extremely expensive for the value--Lillehammer as a whole is an expensive city, and the hotel was by no means an exception.
Excellent buffet breakfast in pleasant modern dining room. Friendly and welcoming staff. Free wifi. Superb location just round the corner from the railway station and a few yards from the main shopping street. Cheap- ish (for Norway).
Rooms a little tired - although perfectly servicable. Bathrooms are spartan.
The hotel was as expected and staff were friendly - and the superior room my parents had was spacious. The furnishings and decor are in need of an up-date,But the hotel, as said, was as shown in the photos. The location was great, walked straight out to train station, up to the pedestrian street etc.
The company the hotel hire for catering, on the other hand, need some help in understanding repect for hotel guest who have not paid to be kept awake- they need to learn to be as quiet as possible and repect that hotel guests do not want to be disturbed for a large portion of the night. The window in the superior room faced the parking area, and from 1.30 - 4 am a car from the catering company company was parked outside with doors wide open and radio turned up full. Put this together with all the glasses and bottles that crashed as they were literally thrown in and you have a sleepless night. The hotel window didn't close properly.
